Job Duties:

• Oversee day-to-day rubber manufacturing operations in Sri Lanka and ensure timely achievement of production targets.
• Analyze existing production processes and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs in a factory environment.
• Lead major Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S process optimization projects within the rubber industry.
• Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production flow across the plant.
• Monitor critical KPIs in manufacturing including efficiency, waste reduction, downtime, and output quality.
• Drive automation upgrades and technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness in the Sri Lankan manufacturing sector.
• Prepare and manage detailed production reports, SOPs, documentation, and improvement project summaries.
• Train and mentor staff on best manufacturing practices, continuous improvement, and safe operations.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) standards in line with Sri Lankan industrial regulations.
• Support management in long-term operational strategy development, capacity planning, and cost optimization.

Requirements:

• Male candidate preferred.
• Age below 40.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a production or operations role within a manufacturing company in Sri Lanka (rubber industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, and other continuous improvement systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of factory operations.
• Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, and production data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across manufacturing teams.
