Job Duties

• Oversee all workshop operations including facilities and process improvements.
• Lead and manage the technical team.
• Review job sheets daily to ensure timely, cost-effective, high-quality job completion.
• Set benchmarks, targets, and Standard Repair Times (SRT) for repairs.
• Monitor resource utilization and take corrective actions when needed.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on technician productivity, efficiency, and job status.
• Boost technician performance while minimizing absenteeism.
• Forecast manpower requirements and proactively address operational issues.
• Coordinate technician training with the Training & Development Manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional managers to ensure sufficient personnel, spare parts, and resources.
• Ensure continuous management and supply of diagnostic/special tools.
• Improve workshop processes in line with ISO & Cummins standards.
• Maintain ISO compliance and audit documentation.
• Supervise service vehicles and ensure optimal use.
• Support technician welfare, motivation, and cross-department collaboration.
• Ensure availability and maintenance of component-handling equipment and swing component bank.

Requirements 

• Male / female
• Age Below 40
• BSc in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• (Qualification in Business Administration / Management is an added advantage.)
• Over 5 years’ experience in workshop operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines. (Cummins experience is a strong advantage.)
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive under pressure.
• Ability to lead, groom, and motivate teams to achieve service targets.
• Proficient in MS Office & SAP ERP.
• Outstanding leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Valid driving ability is preferred.
