Develop and implement sales strategy for COG food segment to achieve the organization's short and long-term sales goals.
Provide close collaboration with local management team as well as regional and global to implement and meet country objectives.
Very hands on to build and lead new business growth,, support the current business and sales team who can competently achieve sales business plans, sales budgets, drive top line results, support and consult the customers in all aspects on their applications.
Monitor sales performance for the product segment within Sri Lanka including volume, price, Margin, Inventory, receivables, and complaints.
In conjunction with the Directors of Sales and Human Resources, hold responsibility for the development of sales management and staff within the assigned segment, to include recruitment, training and development, promotion, succession planning
Biweekly reporting.
Exhibition / show arrangement and participation.
Build business development projects with technical support from Suppliers.
Customer development / relationship building.
Market information gathering and analysis.
NWC management (Key Accounts)
Roll out and management of selected principals together with DISTR RAP.

Female / Male
Age below 45
Degree in science, chemistry or Food technology
Min. 5 years' experience in Distribution sales – strong focus on Food Ingredients
(general, technical and soft skills)
ln-depth knowledge and experience in application development in COG Food Ingredients.
Entrepreneurial mindset, interested to develop new business from ground up, hands on, self-starter.
Excellent communication skills in order to express ideas and issues to individuals from a broad range of cultural and professional backgrounds.
Excellent level of planning, development and implementation of sales and marketing plans
Team player, open communication style with willingness to impart and share knowledge at all levels
Ability to think commercially and strategically in order to understand fundamental drivers of the business.
Confidence to challenge, where appropriate, and present alternative concepts / ideas / strategies.
Computer literate in MS O365 and willingness to learn and use SAP, Sequoia, OMIS, OPUS and other internal systems.
Willing to travel to meet principals and customers in Sri Lanka and occasionally abroad.
Willing to attend international fairs, promotion acts and meetings with principals
