Job Duties

• Carry out installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment in Colombo 05 and outstations
• Perform PCB-level and chip-level repairing of UPS systems, LCD / LED TVs, smart boards, and related electronic devices
• Conduct preventive maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs island-wide as per schedules
• Ensure all power tools and manual tools are operated according to health and safety regulations
• Liaise with supervisors and technical teams regarding work schedules, service plans, and material cost estimates
• Attend on-site service calls, fault diagnosis, and technical support assignments
• Demonstrate equipment usage and assist in preparing technical training manuals and user guides when required
• Participate in technical training workshops and continuous skill development programs
• Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and technical reports
• Report daily activities, service updates, and technical issues to the supervisor

Requirements

• Male
• age below 35 years
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electronics Technician / Senior Technician
• Qualification in Electronic Technology – NVQ Level 3 / 4 or from a recognized technical institute
• Strong knowledge of electronics troubleshooting, PCB repair, UPS systems, and smart board servicing
• Experience in IT-based industry or electronics service environment will be an advantage
• Valid riding license is a distinct advantage
• Ability to travel to outstations when required
• Good technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
