Job Duties 

• Provide comprehensive antenatal, postnatal, and general maternity nursing care to mothers and newborns.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and recovery progress in the maternity ward.
• Assist doctors and specialists during labour and delivery procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, nursing notes, and medical reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital guidelines.
• Support mothers with breastfeeding guidance, newborn care education, and post-delivery recovery.
• Coordinate with consultants, pediatricians, and nursing staff to ensure quality maternal healthcare services.

Requirements 

• Female
• Age below 40
• PHSRC qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Maternity Ward within a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of maternal and neonatal nursing practices.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Based in Colombo 6, easily accessible from Wellawatte, Bambalapitiya, Dehiwala, and nearby Colombo suburbs.
