Job Duties 

• Assist senior technicians in the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of elevators and escalators in commercial and residential buildings.
• Support routine inspections and preventive maintenance of lift systems to ensure safe and efficient elevator operations.
• Help identify mechanical, electrical, and control panel faults under supervision.
• Assist in troubleshooting and basic repairs of elevator components including motors, control systems, doors, wiring systems, and safety devices.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and industry standards for elevator installation and maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate service reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors and technical teams to complete assigned field service and site work on time.
• Learn proper handling of tools, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments used in lift engineering and elevator servicing.
• Attend on-the-job technical training programs to build a long-term career in the elevator and escalator industry.

Requirements 

• Male
• Age below 40
• Minimum G.C.E. O/L qualification.
• Technical background or basic knowledge in electrical systems, mechanical systems, or industrial maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Strong interest in developing a career as an Elevator Technician, Lift Technician, Electrical Technician, or Maintenance Technician.
• Good communication skills; basic English knowledge is an added advantage.
• Ability to work at heights and at construction, industrial, or operational sites.
• Physically fit, safety-conscious, and willing to perform hands-on technical work.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends when required for field service operations.
• Candidates residing within a 25 km radius of Gampaha are preferred (including Yakkala, Ja-Ela, Kadawatha, Kiribathgoda, and surrounding areas).
